TECNO and Cityzens Giving celebrate the success of the CSR program in Colombia

TECNO (www.TECNO-Mobile.com) and Cityzens Giving celebrate the success of a youth-led virtual soccer and education program in Colombia, which trained 80 young leaders from Barranquilla, who in turn reached out to thousands of children and families in their communities .

The young leaders of this CSR program received TECNO cell phones and attended workshops on using football, technology and games to raise local children, before offering regular virtual sessions to 1,040 participants. ages 8 to 10 in 12 neighborhoods.

The global pandemic has increased the challenges children in this region of Colombia face, including dropping out of school. Through this program, these children learned the importance of putting their physical and mental health first.

The project was carried out in partnership with Fútbol Con Corazón (FCC), and supported by FCC’s new app, through which children, adolescents and parents can access a range of audiovisual and educational content free of charge, as well as than posting activities on the app’s social wall and connecting with young leaders via video calls.
