Razer Blade laptops get a 2022 refresh with the latest DDR5 processors and RAM

Ahead of CES 2022, gaming hardware maker Razer announced a Q1 2022 update for its Razer Blade laptops, including the Razer Blade 14, Razer Blade 15, and Razer Blade 17. These laptops will include several hardware components from cutting edge, including the latest NVIDIA RTX 30 series laptop GPUs, the best next-gen processors like the Intel Core i9-12900H and AMD Ryzen 6900HX, DDR5 RAM and new displays with higher refresh rates than previous generations of Razer.

Other notable upgrades include a performance-enhancing MUX switch and Windows Hello compatible 1080p webcam for the Razer Blade 14, as well as four additional speakers and a larger 82WHr battery for the Razer Blade 17. The new Blade 17 also comes with a 280W. charger that outperforms the previous generation 180W chargers. In addition, all new Razer Blade laptops also feature an improved touchpad for greater precision.

All of this advanced hardware will come in the same sleek Razer Blade chassis that fans of the company’s laptops love, featuring a matte black anodized finish with an anti-fingerprint coating. The design of the laptops also includes all the ports that gamers or creators might need, including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and plenty of USB-A ports for connecting peripherals.

These refreshed Razer Blades will undoubtedly end up being one of the best Razer laptops when they launch, and luckily we won’t have to wait long for them to be available. Razer has confirmed that all three updated Razer Blade devices will be available for pre-order in early 2022, with Razer Blade 15 and 17 pre-orders arriving first on January 25, and Razer Blade 14 pre-orders starting shortly after February 10. These pre-orders will be exclusive to the Razer website and RazerStore locations, but the laptops will eventually be sold through select retailers later in the first quarter of 2022.

In terms of price, the new Razer Blade 14 starts at $ 1,999, the Razer Blade 15 starts at $ 2,499 and the Razer Blade 17 starts at $ 2,699. Naturally, the price of devices will increase if you choose to configure one with more powerful specs.
