The Philadelphia Eagles will send two players to the Pro Bowl for their game during the 2021 season. They are center Jason Kelce and CB Darius Slay. This will be Kelce’s fifth Pro Bowl selection and Slay’s fourth.
Kelce was an obvious choice down center as he continues to play at an extremely high level at 34, leading the NFL’s No.1 offense. He is also likely to be the first All-Pro center team this year, as his Hall of Fame credentials continue to grow.
Slay walked in as a result of his splash games. He has three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown, in addition to a pair of fumble return touchdowns. His big plays were an integral part of the victories against the Panthers, Broncos and Saints. Otherwise, he’s also been a stable cover corner and arguably the Eagles’ best defensive player in 2021.
Eagles players deserve a pro Bowl nod too
• LT Jordan Mailata: Mailata has been excellent in his first year as a full-time left tackle starter, both in pass protection and in moving players against their will in the running game.
• RT Lane Johnson: After running out of time to deal with anxiety, Johnson returned to his All-Pro form on the right tackle.
• DT Javon Hargrave: Hargrave has 56 tackles, 8 sacks and one forced fumble, compared to 42 tackles, 4 sacks and no forced fumbles for Kenny Clark, who came in.
• K Jake Elliott: Elliott is 24 of 26 (92.3%) on field attempts, including 3 of 3 over 50, and a perfect 36 of 36 on PAT.
