College basketball season has officially arrived, as freshmen across the country made their respective debuts this week. With that in mind, this is the first chance for many of these potential unique prospects to prove they’re worth the jump to the NBA.

Prior to heading to South Carolina, Jackson competed with Team USA at FIBA Americas 2022 (U18) where he finished with a gold rating and an outstanding C-RAM of 13.9 (the highest high of all players in the event) according to Cerebro Sports.
He made his college debut Tuesday night at age 17, an age at which he will play much of the season. The potential single prospect would have a steep learning curve, but would make the most of it.
In his first official college game, Jackson looked spectacular and quite a projected lottery pick.
He finished with a double-double consisting of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Plus, he showed his reach when Jackson knocked down both of his 3-point attempts.
Again, it’s only one game and it was against a lesser opponent in South Carolina State. However, the 17-year-old performed about as well as anyone could have expected.
