Ayushmann Khurrana heads to Prayagraj for “Doctor G” second leg

Following Bhopal’s schedule for his upcoming film ‘Doctor G’, Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana traveled to Allahabad, officially known as Prayagraj, on Friday for the filming of the film’s second schedule. Keeping his fans in the loop, the ‘Andhadhun’ actor uploaded a snap to his Instagram Stories in which he can be seen sitting on a plane. In addition to the short clip that features clouds and Ayushmann’s film script for the second program, he wrote “Destination Allahabad aka Prayagraj”, using the hashtag “#Doctor G”, “second sched”.

In another IG story, Ayushmann treated his fans with the aerial view of the Triveni Sangam in Allahabad, where Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati River meet. The actor also took to his Instagram account to post a photo of himself after training at a gym in Allahabad. Sharing the photo, the star wrote a contemplative post, in which he described some deep motivating thoughts.

“The red brick wall. The sunlight half covered in clouds. The taste of my homemade shake. With the latest song from The Weeknd on repeat. Fighting the pandemic with my random life beats. It’s not even not a word. Random. Likhte hue iske neeche laal line aa gayi. But aren’t we here to create our own lines and paths while traveling. Bataya nahi aapko, travel karte karte hum Prayagraj pahunch chuke hain. Inquilab Allahabad! ” Ayushmann captioned the post. Speaking of “Doctor G,” the next film will be based on the campus of a medical institute that will also star Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah in key roles.

While Ayushmann will play the role of Dr. Uday Gupta, Rakul will be seen as Dr. Fatima, a medical student who plays the role of Ayushmann’s eldest in the film. Anubhuti, who is the sister of director Anurag Kashyap, will make her feature film directorial debut with the upcoming project. She has previously directed the black comedy miniseries “Afsos” and the critically acclaimed short “Moi Marjaani”.

The film was written by Anubhuti, Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat. In December, Ayushmann announced the film with a photo of him posing with the script for the film. This is Ayushmann’s third collaboration with Jungalee Pictures, following Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Badhaai Ho (2018). Besides “Doctor G”, Ayushmann will also be seen in “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” directed by Abhishek Kapoor and “Anek” directed by Anubhav Sinha. (ANI)
