Amul New Ad called out for gender stereotypes

In addition to its products, Amul is known for its witty commercials and brilliant moment marketing. But his new “celebrate women” ad is less of a celebration and more of a regressive patriarchal uplift.


We don’t celebrate women by showing that they belong in the kitchen. Maybe, just maybe, they could have shown men sharing household responsibilities while women go out and do the jobs they are exceptionally good at.

Twitter didn’t have it either















Yes, that sounds like the “norm” in Indian households, but “norm” doesn’t necessarily mean right. Something has to change, even though you grew up watching it your whole life.
